A new version of the 2007 “Stardust” glow-in-the-dark furniture collection made by Mario Bellini for Meritalia.
The white fabric in this updated version of the collection is called “Via Lattea,” which translates to “Milky Way.” The furniture is padded and made from transparent bubbles, air, and “sidereal” light.
“This is a project based on the pursuit of lightness and simplicity applied to the elastic balance between internal pressure and the dynamic loads of the body mediated by the form of the coverings.” - Meritalia
